Hello from the Jensen Mini Farm team—Jeff, Lory, and our kids! We are a family-run farm based in Tualatin, Oregon, with leased properties spread throughout the Portland metro area. Having grown up on farms and ranches, we were no strangers to agriculture. But we started Jensen Mini Farm with a simple goal: to move away from factory-farmed, uninspired meat and bring back the high-quality, wholesome food we grew up eating and wanted to share with our family and friends.
In 2018, we took the first step by raising cattle and pigs—what began as a way to nourish our own family quickly expanded into serving our local community. As we grew, we added chickens for both meat and eggs. In the process, we learned about the effects of soy in livestock feed, including its impact on estrogen levels and allergic reactions. This led us to a pivotal decision: we became a 100% soy-free farm. Naturally, this commitment guided us toward regenerative agriculture, pushing us to adopt more sustainable practices, including feeding our animals only non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free diets.
Since implementing regenerative farming methods, we’ve seen incredible improvements—our livestock is healthier and happier than ever. We focus on birth-to-butcher care while raising sustainable breeds, ensuring ethical and high-quality practices from start to finish. Through this journey, we've also found ways to utilize the entire animal, leading to exciting new products that you’ll find in our store.
In 2024, we took another step forward by introducing sheep to our farm. With their help, we’ve significantly reduced the need for chemical weed control in our pastures, further strengthening our commitment to sustainability.
At Jensen Mini Farm, we believe in farming the right way—thoughtfully, ethically, and with the health of our community in mind. Thank you for being part of our journey!
