Our Story

Hello, from the Jensen Mini Farm team; Jeff, Lory, and kids. We are a family farm located in Tualatin Oregon with leased properties around the area. While we were no stranger to the farming world, both being raised on a farm and ranch, we started the farm as we were tired of factory farmed blah meat you find in the store. It just wasn't what we grew up eating or what we wanted to feed to our own family and friends.

In 2018, we bought some cattle and pigs and started down the journey that grow from supplying our family to our community. The following spring we grew to add chickens for both meat and eggs. We then started sourcing our feed from a local mill using no spray grains they source locally. That led us to learning what was in our animals feed and about what shouldn't be. Things like soy transfer from the feed to the meat or eggs that leads to elevated estrogen levels and allergic reactions for people we made the choice to become a soy-free farm. This naturally led us down the regenerative agriculture road that we now find ourselves in and becoming 100% non-GMO, soy and corn free in all of our livestock diets.

While implementing regenerative practices on the farm found our livestock to be healthier and happier than ever before. Little did we know at the time; it also produces a better nutrient dense product to you and a more pleasurably eating experience. We also choose to focus on birth to butcher for our livestock while raising sustainable breeds. With these practices in place, we took a hard look at how we can utilize the entire animal and you may see more products hit our store as we continue.

In 2024 we added sheep to our farm in an effort to eliminate the need for chemical weed control in our pastures.
